Calendars

I don’t personally use a calendar much but I do love save people from Google so I felt like I had to make some recommendations to people to wants a good calendar with good intentions and good privacy. Of the ones I tried, Tuta Calendar and Proton Calendar was the ones I found to be the best ones.

Tuta Calendar

This is a regular calendar with no fluff. It is part of Tutas small collection of apps, they currently have calendar and mail. There is a drive in development. But this is exactly why I would pick Tuta. They’re not a suit like Proton.

The calendar is fully encrypted, it has the usual features that a calendar has to have like events and is able to notify you and such. It is really mostly just a secure calendar. Tuta Calendar also have a very beautiful yet simple look, I think Tuta’s design is a very nice design, minimalist!

Proton Calendar

I will always promote Tuta over Proton as Proton has been proving my faith in the wrong enough times now. I don’t like Proton anymore after I had a support incident where they were acting arrogant towards me. With that said, I think the only other viable option than Tuta is going to be Proton.

The Proton Calendar app is very similar in the way it works to Tuta, I do think the Tuta app works slightly better and I like the way it looks better but I do think Proton is a good option still. Only thing is you should pick only one Proton app to use. So if I should use the calendar I wouldn’t use the VPN so I don’t use their calendar.
